One reason I love iPhoto ’09: Face recognition
I’ll admit, I was a little skeptical that iPhoto’s new face-recognition feature would work well, but, as the program soon demonstrated, it does a damn fine job of scouring your photo library and picking out all your friends and family. All you need to do is tag a person in a handful of photos, and it’ll pick out all the photos that have people that look the same. You can always go through and untag the ones that iPhoto suggests, but it was astoundingly accurate with most of my pics.
Also cool: Once you have the faces tagged, when you upload any pics to Facebook, the tagging carries over.
